At this year's Verona Furniture Fair TM Italia presented the Petra and the Mondrian kitchens to showcase their latest customised, exclusive architectural kitchen designs. Both designs have mastered the art of stealing hearts with the travertine stone-constructed Petra being inspired by nature and the Mondrian by cubist art.
When not in use both kitchens look like sculptural art forms. Yet, when it's time to cook, users can 'unfold' their kitchen via a remote control which electronically removes worktops and lacquered panels to reveal the functional areas underneath. One touch will reveal pop-up appliances, LCD monitors and other essentials for modern cooks.
Whilst the petra was designed by TM Italia's Design Director, Gianluca Tondi, the Mondrian was the design creation of renowned architect and furniture designer, Roberto Semprini. Mondrian boasts a strong graphic look thanks to cubist lines and a chromatic effect: large white monolithic volumes contain niches in vibrant colours that stress the different surfaces. Made of DuPont™ Corian® - a material with high aesthetic qualities and superb properties – the working top can be extracted by remote control, revealing the latest in kitchen appliances.

Due to the fantastic response to TM Italia's latest designs, prestigous appliance manufacturer, Gaggenau has invited them to exhibit their products in Dubai alongside world kitchen design leaders Boffi and Minotti Cucine.
